Crawler Drill, also known as Blast Hole Drill Rig or Crawler Drilling Rig (in some regions it may be called Wagon Drill or Drill Wagon), is broadly used in the industries of mining, quarry & construction.
It is primarily used to drill holes on surface or do “drill & blast” tunneling tasks through solid rocks. Under the guidance of a geologist, the drill rig operator can drill blast holes up to 100 feet deep or more at exact coordinates to accept explosive charges.
Usually speaking, the blast holes’ diameter is ranging from 80-140mm and 20m deep hole is workable for blasting. While operating, the crawler drill works with a separated air compressor or built-in one.
