VSI sand making machines are divided into two categories: double-flow type and single-flow type, that is, stone-on-stone and stone-on-iron. The principle of stone-on-stone crushing and sand making generally uses a closed rotor, the feed particle size is controlled at 20-76mm, and the sand production rate is 30-40%. The open rotor allows a larger particle size feed, which is controlled at 80-150mm, and the sand production rate is 45% and 55%. VSI series sand making machines are stone-on-stone, and VI series sand making machines are stone-on-iron.
