Oil Bath Lubrication of Cement Mill’s Gear Wheel and Pinion Wheel

Operating steps of oil bath lubrication of Cement Mill: use the lower cover of the gear wheel as the oil tank, and then add the required gear oil from the observation hole on the cover. Then, the gear wheel will be fully lubricated when running through the oil tank.

Advantages of Oil Bath Lubrication of Cement Mill
If the grate plate screw leaks pulp, the ore pulp will be thrown onto the mating surface of the gear. When the rotating gear wheel runs through the oil tank, the ore pulp can be got rid of. That will reduce the friction of mating surface and improve the gear wheel’s service life.

 
Disadvantages of Oil Bath Lubrication of Cement Mill
For there is no limit for the lubricating time and quantity, the effect of this lubrication method relates greatly to the maintenance consciousness of the operator. Sometimes, in order to ensure the fully lubrication of gear wheel, it is required to add large quantity of lubrication oil per shift. If the gear wheel cover is not sealed well or the oil overflows, end cover surface of ball mill and parts around the cover will be stained with oil. That not only contaminates the place around ball mill, but also wastes a lot of lubrication oil. Moreover, if the ore sand in the lower cover is not cleaned out carefully, they will be sticked on the gear wheel. That will intensify the abrasion of the surface of gear wheel and pinion wheel.
