Grease Lubrication of Ball Mill
This method lubricate the gear and wheel by putting the grease containing molybdenum disulfide into the observation hole of gear cover to achieve the lubricating purpose. The gear surface of right-hand turning small ball mill can get full lubrication, for seeing from the observation hole, the gear wheel and pinion wheel rotate in a face-to-face direction. As for the left-hand turning small ball mill, no matter scribe the grease on the gear wheel or pinion wheel, some of the grease will fall off the wheel under the force of centrifugal force. For seeing from the observation hole, the gear wheel and pinion wheel rotate oppositely. That will cause unnecessary waste.
Disadvantages of Grease Lubrication of Ball Mill
The potential risk exists in the process of adding the grease per shift or day. For there is no limit for the time and quality, the lubrication condition of gear and pinion wheels closely relates to the worker’s equipment maintenance consciousness. If the grid plate‘s screw is loose, the ore pulp will leak out and be threw onto the mating surface of the gear and stick with the grease. That will speed up the abrasion of gear and pinion wheel. Every time when replace the liner, the cover shall be put off in order to clean the mixture of oil and sand on the gear. That increases the maintenance work.
